This is so sad as the Lagos police on Monday arrested a 41 years old Danfo driver for allegedly raping a 76 years old stranded old woman The rape is said to have course the woman serious bleeding. The arrest was confirmed by the state commissioner of police Imohimi Elgar According to the commissioner of police the stranded lady ask for directions from the Danfo driver who goes by the name Jelili Lawal  and instead of Lawal to show her he rather lured her into a hidden area and raped her Mr Lawal was caught in the act as a passer by who heard the woman crying called nearby police and pointed them to the direction the woman was crying from Mr Lawal is currently in police custody awaiting investigation to be handed over to the court

The Federal government has finally reached agreement with Asuu yesterday Monday 7th January and promise to release 15 billion for salary shortfalls The members of the academy staffs of University (Asuu) are now expected to call off their indefinite strike any time from now on as the Federal government has already released 15 billion Naira salary shortfalls for the university lecturers According to Chris Ngige the minister labour and employment who disclosed the news, he saids the accountant General of the Federal and minister of Finance has confirmed the release of the funds He also saids president Buhari has released 20 billion for outstanding arrears from 2009 to 2012 The Union national Chairman  professor Biodun Ogunyemi saids the union will meet and decide whether the agreement between the government and the Union is enough to call off the strike or not. We are hoping to hear a positive comply by the union after their meeting

The lady who goes by the name Joy Marian, a graduate of federal polytechnic Nassarawa state was said to have been rushed to an Abuja hospital where she was declared death after she took her own life by drinking poisonous substance. According to online sources, joy drank Poison after her boyfriend ends their relationship to marry another lady and told her that he needs time to concentrate on his new family. The sources also revealed that Mariam called a friend after drinking the poison to inform her of her actions but before she was rush to the hospital it was already too late.
