Federal government reaches Agreement with ASUU


The Federal government has finally reached agreement with Asuu yesterday Monday 7th January and promise to release 15 billion for salary shortfalls

The members of the academy staffs of University (Asuu) are now expected to call off their indefinite strike any time from now on as the Federal government has already released 15 billion Naira salary shortfalls for the university lecturers

According to Chris Ngige the minister labour and employment who disclosed the news, he saids the accountant General of the Federal and minister of Finance has confirmed the release of the funds

He also saids president Buhari has released 20 billion for outstanding arrears from 2009 to 2012

The Union national Chairman  professor Biodun Ogunyemi saids the union will meet and decide whether the agreement between the government and the Union is enough to call off the strike or not.

We are hoping to hear a positive comply by the union after their meeting
