The Delta State Police Command has arrested a man, Ifeanyi Akpa, from Onicha Igbeze, Ebonyi State, alongside his wife, Ngozi, for assaulting his 13-year-old nephew, Chigozie Ogbu, who lives with them. The arrest came after one Comrade Friday Okpako alleged that there were several reports of severe maltreatment and corporal punishment meted on the boy daily, by the couple who have four children.

The Plateau state police command says it has so far confirmed 86 persons dead in the shooting carried out by suspected herdsmen in Gashish district of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State. The spokesperson of the state command, Mathias Tyopev, said asides the 86 persons killed, six persons were njured while 50 houses were burnt. 'The figure that we have now is that 86 people lost their lives in the attack, six people injured, 50 houses burnt 15 motorcycles and 12 vehicles were burnt in the attack. ” Tyiopev told Channels TV. The state government has since declared a dusk to dawn cuyrfew in the area.

A Facebook User who goes by the name Lawal James shared his bitter experience about a 18 years old boy who died in FMC Lokoja out of Negligence from the doctors on duty. Read his posts below We never knew it will lead to death. He complained of stomach pain on Monday 18th June 2018. The pain was so severe that he was taken to MRS in Chari Maigumeri barracks Lokoja where he was referred to FMC Lokoja. From Federal Medical Center, late Raphael James was referred to Honey Gold Clinic for scan. The scanning was done and the result clearly shows that he has Appendicitis(Appendix) which must and should be operated that hour. The doctor confided in Raphael Brother in a telephone conversation that there should be no further delay. Yesterday 34 Nigerians were  deported from the United States of America for allegedly committing various offences in the country. The deportees comprising 32 males and two females,arrived the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMlA), Lagos at about 2.30 p.m in a chartered Omni Air International aircraft with Registration Number W342AX.  In Confirming the news the spokesman of the Lagos Airport Police Command, DSP Joseph Alabi, said the deportees were alleged to have committed criminal offences, with one involved in narcotics while others were alleged to have committed immigration-related offences.
