The Rivers state governor, Nyesome Wike, has commended the audacity displayed by former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma at the convocation ceremony of Taraba state on Saturday. The Governor of Rivers state, Wike Danjuma who accused the Nigerian army and other security agencies of colluding with killers to attack Nigerians charged the people of Taraba and Nigerians to defend themselves against ethnic cleansing, yesterday received both kudos and criticisms from Nigerians. Governor Nyesome Wike was among those who praised him and saluted his guts. On the other hand Tanko Yakassai, an elder statesman slammed him, saying that his advice cannot be likened as words from an elder.
