 There is a fire outbreak on a building at unity Road off plaza Road Sango Otta. The fire stated few minutes after The power holding company brought back the light they took yesterday. It may be that one of the tenants left the electrical appliances on which ignite and stated the fire. The good thing is that men of the fire service Otta arrived the scene sooner than expected to stop the fire from spreading to other buildings.

Roona Iyeke Ayomanor, the wife of Churchill Ayomanor, the former Community Liaison Officer an oil company, Churchill Ayomanor, yesterday, collapsed and died in a Pentecostal church in Sapele, Delta State. This is coming barely a month after a popular trader in the town was said to have collapsed in the same church and died.   The service was said to be on when Roona suddenly slumped. She was said to have been rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was confirmed dead. Shocked at the news of his wife’s death, the husband was said to have slumped too and has been admitted at a private hospital in the Gana axis of Sapele.

The Lagos State police  have arrested 29 year old Taiwo Akinola pictured above for trying to kill his mother, Alice Akinola so as to further his cyber fraud business ( yahoo.com) to the bloody or ritual level  (yahoo plus).  A statement by the police command spokesperson, CSP Chike Oti, says Taiwo who lives with his mother at No.2 Raji Ajanaku street, Alaja Road, Ayobo, Lagos, is a staunch member of the notorious Aiye confraternity. At about 8am yesterday Sunday August 19th, Taiwo  went to his mother's  provision store in front of their apartment and told her to meet him inside the house for an important discussion and at same time sent his nephew, Faruk to go buy him a white handkerchief and a stick of cigarette. The Nigerian federal government has announced that Tuesday August 21, and Wednesday, August 22, are public holidays for the celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir.   The Information was shared by the Minister of Interior Abdulrahman Dambazau on yesterday in a statement by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mohammed Umar.   The minister wished Nigerians a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration and urged them to embrace the virtues of love and sacrifice for the unity and development of the country. He also called on Nigerians to support the Federal Government as it is determined to foster peace and unity in the country.

Chelsea defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has arrived in Madrid ahead of completing a move to Leganes. A Corp member serving in Lagos State, narrowly escaped death, this morning, after being knocked down by a reckless Danfo driver. The incident happened at Igbo Efon, Lekki Epe expressway. The victim, identified as Morenikeji, is currently receiving treatment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, while the driver is being held.

The man was killed on Monday evening, at about 5: 30 pm, by Unidentified gun men  three days after a close ally of former Gov. Segun Oni, Mr. Bunmi Ojo was assassinated in the capital. According to witnesses, the man was shot at a junction close to the end of the newly constructed overhead bridge at the Okesa/Ojumose Area. The victim was reportedly a passenger on a commercial motorcycle and was pursued by his assailants, who were on another motorcycle. The gunmen then ordered the operator of the commercial motorcycle conveying the victim to stop. When he did, they killed the passenger, but spared the motorcycle rider, and they sped-off immediately.
